Hi everyone! I hope you're all enjoying a very happy last month of 2015.
For my newest Miss Matatabi Makers project, I picked two beautiful Kokka fabrics. As tempting as it was to turn them into garments for my girls, I decided to make something different. My eldest really needed a swim sack and a gym bag, and I thought it would be a nice idea to make a matching pair.
They are very easy to make, and the pretty fabrics make them unique, and less cheap-looking than the synthetic sacks you find in stores.
This project shows once more how versatile double gauze fabric is. Garments, baby blankets, sleeping bags, gym sacks... This fabric is suited for pretty much everything.
Yet, all I could think as I was cutting the fabrics was: "How stunning would a simple little girls' dress in this fabric be?!". I'm so predictable 😀
The fabric comes in 4 colorways: mint, blue, pink, and beige. Most of you will already be familiar with the quality of Kokka double gauze: how soft it is, how well it washes, and how beautiful the print. I have lost count of how many projects I have made in Kokka's superb gauze fabrics so far. But I know that there are many more to follow.
