With a pattern release on the agenda, I was a bit pressed for time this month, so I went for a quick project. I had used a nani IRO brushed cotton to make a simple skirt three years ago, so I knew that it would work well.
In contrast to three years ago, I have two daughters now, so I decided to go for a little twinning project. Two simple skirts, not lined this time.
Each of these skirts consists of two rectangles of fabric, and an elastic in the waist. Easy peasy. Unfortunately, I had only one daughter available to model the skirt. But didn't she do a great job? 🙂
It was such a pleasure to work with brushed cotton again. Naomi Ito's flowers print is another work of art; the fabric has a luxurious, soft feel to it, and it is warm and a bit thicker, without being heavy or stiff. I am so happy with these two additions to my daughters' Winter wardrobes!
